General question about running.
What's expected for a runner? How do the pro's run.
Can you explain me the typical run these days on GW? Planning on running for cash I am now I perma sin. [Let me rephrase I am planning on running guys to rata sum and general areas in factions. I need the run down] Last edited by Junato; Apr 22, 2009 at 09:42 PM // 21:42.. |

Running to areas won't yield a great amount of cash in quick time. More people are running, less people are being ran. Best thing to do is go as a monk n become a typical 600/smite runner. A dungeon like SoO can get you 50k from one hour run i think.
As for actual area running, i can't give you a list of most profitable areas, but i can list a few that ive seen. from EoTN to the main asuran place (cant remember the name) is roughly 2k (ive had a few free runs) Actually thats all i can remember. Dunno if lions to ascalon is still 4k (its been a while since i done that run.) |

LA to Ascalon (and vice-versa) I see go for between 1k and 2k. Starting from Ascalon tends to be lower than starting from LA, in my experience (and from what I've seen).
No point in running in Factions unless you're running missions. |

So I basically have the people running beside my character or can I just let them stay from outside of the town leaving them their and run myself to the other town and all the characters get transferred to the town no matter the distance between them
Ex. DestA--O----------------------------500km later----------------------X--DestB O is them X is me As soon as I enter destB they will come too? |

Expected to not fail!!!!!!!!
FAST!!!!....The faster the better. The typical run for a perma is UWSC FOW tank DOA tank Dungeons Running from town to town is not that popular anymore, however people still do it. Most of the runs I see are the Droks run and the run from Gunnars to Rata, about 2k ea. I would practice some dungeons. If you have a patient guild (while you learn) the do the Elite areas. |

runs are simple. you run to the destination, and they pay you. that's it. |

people still want Droks to Grotto/Copperhammer/THK
Towns in GWEN xcpt doomlore (doors locked) Go to doomlore and hang out for a while you will find 600s looking for a run to SoO or Kath so you get a free dungeon run. A good money maker is learn how to run gloom in DOA people charge 8k per person, its so easy to do and you will get a few crappy greens and some torment gems as well |

Towns in GWEN xcpt doomlore (doors locked) oh so not true...u can be ran to doomlore as long as the person who is running has done the quest to get to doomlore |

A full EotN tour (all outposts, including Doomlore) goes for around 5-6k. Not really profitable, tbh, since you need a full party to even come close the the cash you'd make doing something else as a perma.
As to your questions: What's expected for a runner? How do the pro's run. Speed and knowledge of the run. Runners who have to explore as they go aren't good. Can you explain me the typical run these days on GW? For a run from place to place, the party zones in the explorable area, and you start running while they wait there. Having people run along as a perma isn't good, as you can get hit by AoE. When you reach the destination, you enter and all the party is in the next area. I think you should spend more time playing and familiarizing yourself with the game. |
